Vishnu Vinod, who has previously featured for multiple IPL franchises, delivered a powerful statement regarding his white-ball hitting prowess during the recently concluded Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26. The wicketkeeper-batter finished the tournament having smashed the most sixes, showcasing the aggressive intent that makes him a valuable commodity in the T20 and 50-over formats.
Vinod's ability to clear the ropes consistently was a highlight of the domestic 50-over competition. He registered 28 maximums throughout the tournament, outpacing all other batters. This performance comes at a crucial time, reinforcing his reputation as a destructive finisher capable of changing the momentum of an innings quickly.
While the focus often remains on the IPL, strong showings in premier domestic tournaments like the Vijay Hazare Trophy are essential for players looking to secure or cement their spots in the highly competitive IPL environment. Vinod's dominant six-hitting display serves as a significant boost to his stock ahead of the next IPL season, signaling his readiness to perform the power-hitting role for any franchise.

We were honoured to invite Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji to Arjun and Saaniya’s wedding. Thank you, Modi ji, for your blessings and thoughtful advice for the young couple.
The IPL is a different beast altogether. It is cricket on steroids, in my opinion. I was fortunate enough to spend ten years in the IPL. I started at the Deccan Chargers under Darren Lehmann for two years, although I only played one game there. Then I had six amazing years at Kolkata Knight Riders, one of my favourite franchises I’ve been part of. After that, I spent two years at the Mumbai Indians, where again I only played one game. But that’s okay. The IPL has gone from strength to strength. When we talk about growing the game, the IPL is the backbone of that growth. The standard of cricket there is the best in the world. We’re now seeing 14-year-olds scoring hundreds. What better way is there to announce yourself than scoring an IPL hundred? To do that at 14 years of age is truly special.
One bowler I would love to have a battle with? Abhishek Sharma.
